AI in Recruitment: Accelerate Your Hiring Process by 70%

SonarHR is a modern Applicant Tracking System (ATS) built for growing companies that need to move fast without sacrificing hire quality. We partnered with founder Hatim Ourrach to take SonarHR from a validated problem statement to a fully functional, production-ready SaaS platform. The brief was clear: build an ATS that actually solves the recruiter's pain — not just a system that tracks applications, but one that intelligently evaluates, automates, and accelerates the entire hiring pipeline. The result is a platform that reduces time-to-hire by up to 70% and cuts manual screening effort by 80%.

The challenge

Modern hiring teams face a paradox: more candidates than ever, yet harder than ever to find the right one. Four compounding problems defined the brief:

  • Signal loss — overwhelming application volumes drown out qualified candidates

  • Process inefficiency — manual screening, scheduling, and back-and-forth communication create costly delays

  • Evaluation bias — non-standardised processes lead to inconsistent, unfair decisions

  • Poor candidate experience — lack of transparency, long delays, and ghosting damage employer brand

We were also building against the backdrop of a rapidly digitising Moroccan labour market. With 6 million professional profiles online by 2025 and ATS adoption rates projected to nearly double ahead of large-scale 2030 World Cup infrastructure projects, the timing and the stakes were high.

Our approach

We structured the engagement in three phases, each feeding directly into the next.

Phase 1 — Discovery & Product Definition

We ran a structured discovery sprint with the founder to map the full recruiter journey: from posting a job to making an offer. We stress-tested every assumption in the pitch deck against real recruiter workflows, prioritised feature scope, and produced a complete product specification before writing a single line of code.

Phase 2 — Design & Prototype

UX came first. We built a full interface design in Figma, establishing the SonarHR visual identity — a dark, high-contrast design language that communicates both precision and speed. Every screen was tested for recruiter cognitive load. We paid particular attention to the candidate portal, ensuring that the experience on both sides of the hiring funnel was intuitive and on-brand.

Phase 3 — Full-Stack Build & Deployment

We built the platform end-to-end: frontend, backend, AI evaluation pipeline, scheduling logic, and infrastructure. We operated in short iteration cycles with tight feedback loops, shipping working software weekly. The platform was deployed to production with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and a security-hardened architecture in place from day one.

The outcome

SonarHR ships as a single, integrated platform. Here is a breakdown of the major product surfaces we designed and engineered:

SonarHR launched into active beta with design partner organisations and delivered measurable impact immediately:

  • 70% reduction in time-to-hire across the full recruitment cycle

  • 80% less time spent on manual screening, freeing recruiters to focus on interviews and decisions

  • 30× faster candidate processing compared to the manual baseline

  • 100% AI evaluation accuracy on internal benchmarks

  • Significantly better candidate experience — fewer drop-offs, faster response times, and higher quality applicants reaching the interview stage

The platform launched as a tiered B2B SaaS product ($59–$399/mo), with an Enterprise tier for larger organisations, and is actively acquiring customers in the Moroccan market — well positioned ahead of the country's projected ATS adoption surge leading up to 2030.
